Little People, Big Lives Report

At Sanitarium Health Food Company, we believe that healthier choices lead to better lives, happier people and stronger communities. But with so much information out there and the hyper-speed of modern life, we recognise it’s not always easy to know which choices to make — or find the time to take action.

But the choice to give your kids the right foundation to lead a long, healthy and happy life is an important one, particularly in the context of today’s conversations about obesity, mental health and non-communicable diseases like type 2 diabetes. That’s why we are delighted to have collaborated with the University of Notre Dame Sydney on the Little People, Big Lives report.

Through extensive analysis of the 21st century threats to children’s health and wellbeing and the latest evidence-based recommendations, the report provides families with five areas for priority action. To make it practical, we’ve teamed up with mum and actress Ada Nicodemou and real Aussie families to share the simple things they do every day to help their children realise their happy, healthy potential.

We hope the wholistic health principles in this report spark a vital conversation about what is really important — including the little things that can help make a big difference to lifetime health outcomes. Because it’s time to make a stand for a simpler, healthier way of life, and lay the groundwork for our future generations to flourish.
